Originally built as a restaurant and then expanded into a hotel The Boundary is a feast for the senses. Some of the designers and movements that the rooms are themed after include: Charles and Ray Eames, Josef Hoffmann, Bauhaus, Andree Putman, Le Corbusier & Charlotte Perriand, Heath Robinson, Eileen Gray, Scandinavian, British, Shaker and my favorite Mies van ver Rohe. The Mies van ver Rohe Room is a stunning representation of the Mies aesthetic from its original Barcelona and MR side chairs to its walnut burr veneer closet doors. Marble, leather, wood and stone throughout and a library of books about the great master architect are sure to leave you inspired. Breakfast at the Albion a fresh market and bakery on the ground floor is not to be missed and surely a great way to start your day.

Designed by Phillipe Starck and part of the ultra chic Morgans Hotel Group, St Martins Lane shines from its central location amidst Convent Garden, Trafalgar Square and the West End theatre district. A renovated office building the theme of color is apparent from the entry through its tall slender yellow tinted revolving door. Entering into the dramatic lobby Stark works his magic of playing with proportions with giant columns and planters and tiny stools and tables always leaving the viewer feeling as if they stepped into the world of Alice in Wonderland. The hallways are bathed in orange light and the elevators loop video feeds of natural elements. The rooms are spacious and bright with floor to ceiling windows with playful fixed encased blinds lending a geometric linear element to the room. No minor detail is overlooked, from the Eames La Chaise to wall mounted flower pots and a glowing onyx desktop. At night guest can choose the color of their mood by rotating a dial on the wall which controls the lighting for the perfect ambient touch.

Steps from Oxford Circus on Berners Street behind a glass wall in a landmark 50′s office building is one of the most original hotels on earth as you step inside you are greeted by a Salvador Dali lips couch and a juxtaposition of exaggerated forms, Louis XV, and hand carved gems all set in a designers delight that could only be Phillipe Starck. The hotel encloses a courtyard garden by Phillip Hicks that will surely transport you from the hustle and bustle of London. At night the Sanderson comes alive with bars and lounges sure to delight. The loft room with a balcony is bisected with glass walls and curtains creating the illusion of an open floor plan with varying levels of privacy. The silver leaf sleigh bed seems to float in the center of the room with accents of style and quirkiness. A bath tub floats in the bathroom / dressing area and the voyeuristic shower allows guests to delight and tease each other. The spacious terrace provides a view of Berners Street and a private oasis amidst a lush landscape.

Originally built in 1884 Andaz Liverpool Street is a masterpiece in old world Victorian charm meets new world style. Each of its 267 beautifully appointed guest rooms are designed to give the feeling of a luxury apartment with the connivence of a full service hotel. Located adjacent to Liverpool Street Station in the Financial District, Andaz is a short walk to the shoreditch district rich with nightlife. The exterior of the hotel is classic in every way, with its red brick facade and minor hints of the modern interior. Entering the lobby the first thing you notice is that there is no formal reception desk, just sharply dressed attendants with portable electronic devices and chocolate cookies. Each hallway has amazing original contemporary art and there is a large atrium lounge for when visitors want to get away without braving the harsh climate of london. The rooms are spacious and well decorated with the finest materials and a stocked complimentary mini bar is a very nice touch. A separate office and wifi made it very easy to get to work

On the edge of Hyde Park Lancaster London provides a spectacular view of the city and easy access to all of its amenities. Designed in a traditional south east asian meets british fusion. The hotel is massive in scale and perfectly suited for events from just 8 to to 3000 people making it a benchmark in the conference banquet industry. Amazing restaurants on site with views of the park set the tone for the hotel which is all about the view. Entering the rooms the first thing you will notice is the amazing tour of the city from up above and at night the city shines with its architectural and historic landmarks. Greeted by champagne and chocolate covered strawberries the staff surely knows how to give the royal treatment to its guests. Marble bathroom stocked with L’Occitane and fluffy white bathrobes show that no detail is too small or unimportant.
